I was in a similar pickle with a little workhorse MacMini, where I added a SSD, Max the RAM and even switched out the wifi for an N adapter. Any answers, advice, or a flat-out list of steps to take to update Mac OS AND keep the use of my programs, will be immensely appreciated. I am considering swiping the harddrive altogether and then installing the new OS since it will probably operate smoother. My dilemma is that I have an Adobe CS6 Package and Microsoft Office Suite that I still regularly use and I treasure the Adobe programs now that they are all subscription services.
